GSFC, a leading Fertilizers & Chemical company of India, has established a robust in-house Research and Development (R&D) center driven by principles of Research, Innovation and Environmental Stewardship, ensuring that their efforts not only address industry challenges but also contribute to society and sustainable development. This center is pivotal in addressing the rapidly changing challenges in the industry while reinforcing the leadership of GSFC in key business domains.

Research and Development

Established in 1974 at the Vadodara complex, GSFC R&D center is a cornerstone of its success. Equipped with modern facilities, the center adopts a comprehensive approach designed to meet the dynamic needs of the chemical and fertilizer sector. With an unwavering commitment to surpassing global standards, the R&D center seamlessly integrates modern research methodologies including Data Analytics, Experimental design, simulation and both qualitative and quantitative approaches while fostering strong and dedicated collaborations with its clients and peers.

A group of very talented scientists, engineers, and technologists who provide quick, affordable, and market-focused solutions forms the core of the research and development activities at GSFC. The center uses cross-functional teams to promote its initiatives and places a strong emphasis on creativity and innovation. Recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India, the center has been awarded 25 patents for various processes and products and has published/presented over 120 scientific papers in national and international journals/conferences.

The research centre also contributes to the academia by accommodating student interns and trainees and doing collaborative research with universities and other research institutes or industries.

The centre is aesthetically designed and equipped with modern infrastructure to focus on various areas of research.

Research Centre also encompasses a kilo lab and pilot plant facilities to optimize process parameters for efficient and cost effective solution to achieve the highest possible product quality during scale-up integration.

A test farm of 13 acre area is also available for field trials of fertilizer products under development. Research and Development
