Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited is one of the largest Joint Sector Chemicals, Fertilizers and Petrochemicals complexes in India. Being conscious of the fact that, its objective was not only to manufacture and sell the fertilizers but also offer services to the people in rural areas for their all-round development, GSFC started with a commitment of twin objectives of selling the fertilizers and services for improving productivity of various agricultural activities for overall development.

India lives in villages and the prosperity of the rural areas is ultimately the prosperity of India. This fact, is the foresightedness of company's mission, which has resulted for the company to become a leader in contributing towards well being of the farmers; as a part of social responsibilities since its inception in 1962.

To achieve the desired goal and effective implementation of different programmes, a separate department called 'Agro Development & Agro Services (AD & AS)' has been created where technical experts of different fields and well-trained staff undertake and coordinate various activities to generate and transfer agriculture technologies for overall improvement.
